just a quick question. an alpine mrd-605 is rated 600 rms@2ohms and i was just wondering if this amp puts out more watts (wether is over rated or under rated wattage).

well this is good news lol. im going to be using this amp with a 12'' type r and i want about ~ 650-700 watts running to it

if Alpine is anything like the industry standard, yes, they are underrated.

I believe that the RMS on those Alpines is measured at 14.4 volts so depending on your electrical system you might not get the full wattage. You would never really notice a difference in 100 watts anyways.

its underrated slightly

maybe 630 rms or so and hes right, its rated at 14.4v
