Depends on how much power is being put to the sub. Give us some specs

It's gonna be one Pioneer TS-W2000SPL in a ported box wired to 2 ohms powered by a Viper 1200.1. I think the amp puts out 800 RMS at 2 ohms and the sub handles 750 RMS.

yeah man 12 GA is all you need, speaker gauge doesn't play a big role in performance as long as it isn't much smaller then 12
