Quick question on the Rainbow SLC 265 Kick

I'm looking to get these components.

Will 100 x 2 @ 4ohms RMS cut it for an amp? The MTX TC4002

Or other amp suggestions, I need a small footprint, as it's going under my front passenger seat.

Also, only place I found the Rainbow's is Premier Audio at $319, are there any other places cheaper?

The dealers on here will be able to get you a set for significantly cheaper. PM either 6spdcoupe, 3.5max6spd, or PremierAudio.

That amp should do just fine. Do you already have it, or are you still shopping for amps? If you're still shopping, you might want to look for something with a little more power, however, they will still sound plenty fine with 100wrms per side.

I had a set of SLC Kicks....great speakers.

If you're lucky, you can find a forum member upgrading from their SLC Kicks selling them used for right around $200 or so, usually.

Premier Audio

6spdcoupe

and 3.5max6spd

They all deal Rainbow, and can give you great prices....I think you might be able to even get a set of CMX 265's with $319.

100wx2 for SLC's is good, but 130-150w a side would really make them sound nice, if you can pick up a decent amp that does those specs.

If your budget is $300-$350, I'd HIGHLY recommend the CMX 265's over the SLC Kicks, especially if you like your tweeter sound a little on the brighter side.

If you have the $330 to spend, go with the CMX Kicks. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Most definitely! Especially if you're usually a fan of metal/titanium tweets. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

But hard dome tweets that are reportedly smooth and crisp, not harsh and bright. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
