Quick question on mounting depth and gap from magnet to back of box

I am in the process of building a box for an sa8 v2. Looks like I will be cutting it close on the mounting depth. From the front of the box to the slot port will be 7.75" The subwoofer depth is 6.625" Is that the depth of the whole sub or is it the mounting depth. I am assuming that would be from the back of the speaker mounting frame to the rear magnet.

Also, it doesn't look like it has a pole vent compared to the >10" and larger models. Therefore, can I get away with no gap or 0.5-1 inch gap from the magnet to the box?

No need for a gap any bigger than to keep from rattling against the box. And im pretty sure the listed number is for the bottom of the mounting ring to the back of the motor
