Right now, I have 2 12"s that came in a '31.25” L x 20” W x 15.5” H' sealed enclosure. I want to get the loudest out of it, as I do not mind the sound quality. How much of a difference in loudness would a good ported box be compared to my tiny sealed box. Also, one last thing. If you could get 150rms watts more, or a ported box, what would make it beat harder? Thanks!

building a proper ported box can get you so much higher gains SPL wise than adding 150 watts, unless your sending them no power.

With my old setup i had the same subs in my sig in a tiny prefab sealed box and on 200 watts each, then i jumped them up to 500 watts each and had them in the same box and they got kind of louder, and then i built the box i have now and I'd say I probably gained an average of 5 dB's across there frequency range, then i had to hook up my old amp and give them 200 watts each in the same box and it's much louder than when they were getting 500 each in the tiny prefab box.

Thanks guys! But if I put it this way, what will make my seat vibrate more in the car, 200rms watts, or a ported box? If it matters, I have a 2003 Mustang, and took out the rear seats, and mounted the subs facing the front of the car directly behind the seats.
