Quick question on aeroports.

Hey guys. I'm completely new to aero ported boxes and I've got a quick question. It seems to me, an aeroport is basically just a tube you slide into your box, and depending on the length of it, it'll determine the frequency of the box also. Does it matter how far you push that tube into the box? because I'm planning to extend the port through a 6-8'' hole on my rear deck to get some air into the cabin.

technically you'd need to change the end correction to account for two free ends, but if you don't it doesn't make that much of a difference.

the port area, port length and box volume are what matter.
