I have been sitting on a pair of speakers while I rebuild my car. They are CDT Audio Ef-61fg/tw25 Pros. They are advertised as 170 watts RMS capable, does that mean that each can handle it, or that I am really looking at 85w RMSx2 handling?
I'm not shure. It just said 170 watts RMS every where I can find them. I would guess thats per pair, not each. Check these out. 4.5 out of 5 star review and only $65 Hifonics Zeus ZXi 6.5C 6.5" Component Car Speakers

Ummm, lets see, Hifonics vs CDT. $65 vs $600 when I bought them. Not much of a choice to me. These are premium speakers. Anyone will attest to that. Anyone know about the advertising, or specifically about CDT's advertising?
I'm sure it's 170w per channel. So 170w to the left tweeter and mid, and 170w to the right tweeter and mid. But I wouldn't be afraid to send it more power, depending on where you set the highpass filter.
