Thanks. Kicker makes class D amps they are rated at 2 ohm. I was asking because im looking into the zx1000.1 or zx1500.11 ohm stable Class D amps will generally be more efficient when run at 2 ohms.
If you get a 2 ohm stable amp, it's generally either a class A/B, crappy, or a (more than you can afford) 10kw+ amp. A/B amps are significantly less efficient than Class D... so I wouldn't go down that road.
If efficiency is your only goal, Class D's at 4 ohm can get er dun at 85% eff. Think Sundown, US Amps, and other mid to high-end companies.
Memphis makes some great Class D 2 ohm stable amps...I resend my statement. Kicker amps are excellent quality, and 2 ohm stable. They can be 20% underrated, take a beating, and look good too.
