THE STEREOTYPE FIGHTER!!!
is there an audible and termpro-measureable difference between 1300 and 1800 watts?

cause i'm lookin for and amp that puts out that power at 2 ohms and is one ohm stable. the power doesn't have to go up at 1 ohms, just that amp shouldn't be able to fry porkchops on it at low resistance.

10*log(1800/1300) = 1.4db

That's theoretically maximum. Once you account for things such as power compression, it will be even less than that.

So, basically, it might be audible, but potentially won't be. It should be measurable unless you have a high level of power compression.

ok thats good. now i can look for lower power amps that are 1 ohm stable which= less money //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
