quick please I have a choice to make please help me out on this

Ok i have a 1985 buick lesabre, the guy that is making my box will make it 9-10cuft ported.....now what i need 2 know is should i go with one solo x 18 in that box size with 3000rms running to it or shoud i go with 2 re Mt 15's instead in the same size box but the 3000rms will be split between the 2. i know more cone area with 2 subs vs...1sub But sometimes certain boxes and setup can be better for a particular car. so what i need to know if yall think it will be much more of a difference between the 2. i can get the solo x for $730 with warranty i know this probably has been talked about but i need yall honest opionion and i appreciate it.

if so i would suggest the MTs more over the solox because if im not mistaken the solox is a sql woofer (correct me if im wrong guys) i've personally never heard to 18 but i've heard the 15 and it wasnt loud IMO it was clean, but i think the MTs would be best for comps

oh and this is for daily driving yes i know thas a lil extreme but i wont play it loud all the time........so any more replies about it and thanks again to all that reply.

I don't think that power is truely enough for either setup.. but would prolly do better with the solo x. Just my guess though. As for the solo being an sql driver, I have not heard of this. You talkin about a type x maybe?

oh yeah sorry got them mixed up, but i have heard a 15inch solo x and it isn't really that loud IMO

lol, all it has to do is get you around! if you aren't walking and the car is still running... you are good to go...

in all honestly... if the a solox in a GOOD install isn't loud.. you are deaf..

Oh my 1985 buick was fully redone.....from the inside out.....with rims and everything........it was a show car.................looks like it came off the show room floor in 1985 lol well maybe 84.......well imma just go with the solo x and throw that power at em...........plus it is the cheap way i can get the solox for $730

good choice seeing u can run the whole 3000 to one sub insted of two and for the guy who said he heard a 15 solo x and it wasnt loud hes f***ing lying cause they dont make a 15

LOL yep no soloX 15.

SoloX is an SPL sub, not SQL.

For a daily, either setup is a bad idea imo. Or rather, there are much better choices for subs for a DD.
