Does write speed affect the quality of the media being burned?

Slower burn speeds supposedly help the CD to hold data longer.

Yes, the higher the speed, the greater the probability of write errors ...

yea, thats 100% true.

I find having a burn speed of 4x for dvds is perfect, unless you are in a rush and have no patience.
