okay I didnt read all the posts on the big 3 thread but basically what were getting at here is (cuz im probably doing this tomorrow)

alternator to battery goes from the alternator to battery positive and engine block ground AND chassis ground goes to battery negative. correct?

and I see the guy on the big 3 video on youtube he completely took off the old ground he had that was connected to the battery negative..do I have to take it off or can I just add on to that?

thats what the guy did on the video. he hooked his engine block ground and his chassis ground to the battery negative.

Add on.

Odds are they took it off to make it look better. But adding is always better when talking about grounds.

okay. thank you. thats all I needed to know. just didnt want to mess anything up.

so I guess your saying that its better and more safe to have 3 grounds(not literally) and maybe not need all of them instead of 1 and be short
