I just got my new CDT EF-61FG's in last week and took them for installation and the mounting depth is too deep for my truck (03 dodge ram). The window would hit. If we brought it out some the panel would not go back on. So I ordered some kick panels that will be here next week. Will this actually give me an improved sound over my doors or will it be a bit worse? Also since the truck came with 6x9's up there, there oem hole in the panel would have blocked half of the cone behind it if by chance it did fit.

They will be running off a Diamond d34004 and I was wondering how these would sound?

If they are Q-forms, they will put them in the right position for good imaging and sound stage, but they don't sound good unless you seal them.

Another option is to custom install them in the factory kick panel.
