which would you choose...

working at Circuit City Roadshop part time /sales /install so 10 hours each making 12$ hour....

___*** currently working there ***___

OR

working in a private shop, that really deals with alot of high end cars, boats, RV's, making 20$ an hour on sales NOT COMMISION based. only part time and only on sale's floor.

reason i ask is cause i got a nice job offer yesterday. and i dunno if i should take it just wanted some input on this.....

If you are looking for install experience go w/ CC. If you are just wanting money go w/ the $20 an hour job. If you get in good maybe they'll pick you up full time and you can start weaseling your way into the install bay. Speaking as a former installer I always took time to show salesman how to do stuff because it increased their knowledge and they would stop selling people crap that wouldn't work or didn't need.

i'd go with the private shop and work your way up. use your knowledge. impress them.

if you want to do installs right for people, then go with cc installing stuff correctly for people.

W/ private you will more than likely do more custom work and sell, at least some, higher end equipment. You will more than likely deal w/ a few less idiots because you will never match the volume of people that go through CC.

On the other side you will get a lot of basic install knowledge in a short time at CC because of the volume of business they do. Me I'd go to the private shop and work your way into the install bay. If you don't like it CC isn't going anywhere and if you leave on good terms (ie. 2 week notice) they will probably hire you back. Also how long has this private shop been in business?

well i like working here but my mananger isnt going anywhere any time soon....

and the custom shop does at of boats? eeekk... both willing to work around school for me.... its confusing really, cause i dont know what too do i get 12$ an hour cause i speak spanish BIG+ for workers in texas.
