If I have two 10" W3 JL Audio subwoofers, should I use a sealed or ported enclosure? I have a '93 Volvo 850 GLT. It's not a hatchback or station wagon, it's just a normal sedan. I currently have a sealed enclosure. What would be louder?

Well ported always brings more noise, but choose your box carefully as they do need to be set up properly to sound good. Just a personal preference to me I use sealed enclosures when going with a larger sub because it allows for a more efficient and precise bass. (No muddy noises) It also allows for a more full frequency responseout of the sub. No comparison in my book tho there are pros and cons to each. If you just want it loud go with ported.

Alright, thanks man. Yeah, I like the sound of my subs right now, but I was wondering if ported would make a big difference. Guess not.
