Question

I planning on getting bostn pro 60's in my car and i was thinking about getting this amp for it..

I planned on wireing the speakers in to 2ohm by parallel to give them 150w rms.

But now i just noticed that the impedence of the pro 60's is 3. So if i parallel wire them, the amp will see about 1.5 ohms, correct?

Can i do that? or can that amp ( or any amp?) not handle it?

Dont parallel them. You will lose your stereo effect. 3 ohms should be around 100 watts for that amp.

any advice on what amp to give them? ( about 350$ max?)

Yeah...you definitely do not want to run your front comps in parallel together.

That rockford looks nice.. just never thought rockford was a good company. How much is it under rated?

and i dunno about buying the kicker from some guy, even though that is a good deal.

hmm.. hows about the orion 4002 insted of the 3002? I really havnt heard anything bad about orion, what do you guys think?

whoever told you rockford is a bad company is ignorant. imo they get a bad name because they are mainstreem and people love to hate the mainstreem companies. i wouldn't mind running RF amps at all. there subs leave a little to be desired though.

Rockford's a great company that builds rock solid amplifiers. Their new amps (like the one I showed you) are built like tanks.

So far, most of the power series has birthsheets showing them to be anywhere from ~25% underrated to 75% underrated. Majority of them are right around the 50% range.
