Question On Thickness

Hey guys. well let me explain my setup. i have a kicker 10" l7 at 600rms. i wanna mount it in my expedition front console. its around 12" wide and the length wouldnt matter because i can always enlarge the console length. anyways, would i be fine with 1/2" mdf or 3/4". also what size plexi should i mount on top of the box, since i will make the sub downfiring. i figure the hole of the console on top is 10" by 13". thanks guys

Go with 3/4" MDF. As for the plexi I think 1/2" would be alright, but dont take my word for it.

i used half inch and it has been working absoultely fine awesoem in fact, pexi glass is a ***** to sand though

1/2" MDF should not be a problem at all. specially using panels that are within 13" in length. if you do get any flexing it will be minimal. you can always brace it.
