I am looking into getting speakers to mount on my wakeboard tower to i can hear while riding.

I have done some searching on ebay and came across a set of MB Quarts. http://cgi.ebay.com/MB-Quart-BLK-Alum-Wakeboard-Tower-Boat-Speakers-NEW_W0QQitemZ140225324388QQihZ004QQcategoryZ15272QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I noticed that they were the Discuss line speakers which are not marine grade.

My question is will these speakers survive in a marine environment because they are sealed in an enclosure?

As long as the speaker itself is made of plastic/aluminum/rubber components. No foam surrounds or paper cones. Most any speaker dosent contain these materials, espically if it claims marine useage. and yes make sure the enclosure is sealed and made of pastic or aluminum not wood. The ones you picked out seems like they would work perfectly.

Yea lol, specially the guy downwind on the wake board. Wont have much for bass obvioulsy, but should be well heard over the engine and wind. Just get a good amp and dare I say it, over power them a little, just be carefull how much bass you try to put them through.
