Question on mounting

I got a set of alpine SPR-17s component speakers 61/2" with separate tweeters. I was wondering, how do i find a good place to mount the tweeters and how do i cut holes for them? which place would be recconmended and as for the crossovers that came with the set, should i mount the X-overs next to the amp or does it matter?

what kinda car?...where are the stock locations of speakers?

I have a 2004 honda civic DX coupe. i don't have a spot for tweeters yet, but my 6 1/2 speakers are located in the door panel more towards the front.

There is a tweeter placement thread in the top ten threads here.

Hard to describe installation over the net... but you might find a hole saw the right size which would cut the hole.

Don't put the crossovers in the doors... doors can leak... only reason we put speakers in the doors is because speaker placement is so important.

Mount the crossovers behind any convenient plastic panel in the car, hide them away. Any place from under the dash to behind the tail lights and everywhere in-between, does not matter.
