generally the lexus and yota cars are identical in chassis, suspension, and powertrain build. Chevy and buick is getting the same way though.

I personally think thats like comparing apples to oranges. Buick and Chevy are both part of GM. Thats like saying Cadillac and Hummer have things in common. Obviously Lexus and Toyota are similar because most of what Lexus makes is based off of a platform from their parent/sister company Toyota.

I feel comparing Honda and Acura to Lexus and Toyota would be a more fair and even comparison.

well buick to chevy is almost like comparing GMC to chevy or Cadillac to chevy. They are different brands but use the same tech. Escalade vs. tahoe type thing.

I think ford/lincoln is a better example then buick/chevy. But the jap cars def take the cake, which isn't a good thing.

Some are very close. Most of the cars are very differnet though. Electronics, suspesion, interior parts are different.

The only cars that are really close are the ES350/330's and Camary and Avalon.

Some of the older Toyota trucks and older Lexus LX trucks were much the same. Not so much now with the newer cars.
