Question for Mustang owners/all: Seats

I am looking at swapping some mustang bucket seats into my 98 ranger.

Since Ive never sat in a mustang for more than 2 minutes, how comfortable are they? I need some better seats for long trips! The bench seat in my ranger is awful. Was looking at some seats from a mid/late 90's stang.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have no access to mustangs at the moment... So I cannot sit in a Mustang.

I know they will be more comfortable than the ranger seats... When I took my seat out and sat directly on the floor it was more comfortable.

And I'm so tall I could still see over the dash.

Any more input would be appreciated, I know some Ford Seats are a direct bolt up...

well the seats in my escort zx2 are similar to the mustangs, and they arent great for long drives, but if u keep it under 1.5 hours it should be alright

just think of it like this, they cant be any more uncomforable than that bench seat. friend has a couple foxbodies, one had prelude seats though, but the foxbody stang seats are pretty comfy

I have cloth seats in my 98 and leather (well, pleather) seats in my 04 and both are fairly comfortable.

I had a fox body and likes the seats, good neck support, lumbar and kind of hugged you good, something I hate about bench seats.

Thanks for the info! I may have to cut the stock brackets off my current seats and lust fab them to some other seats, so any seats are an option...

I was thinking some chevy fullzize truck seats, even the newer buckets and the older buckets freaking rock. I drove 6 hours nonstop in a reg cab 91 silveraddo and it was a dream.

But, there is one year of mustang seats that will bolt direct to my floor... Trying to scour the ranger forums for what year that is.

I have an '03 Convertible GT, and the seats are deff one of the more comfortable out there, compared to say, a camaro(ive owned many), I dare say they're more comfortable then my 05 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limted too..IMO

they are a soft seat, but not too cushy, a very nice mixture

Tbird seats are nice too, at least in my 91 SC it was not sure if all tbird seats are the same.

Thank you for the input Once again! I am pending sale on some 94 GT seats in michigan.. I don't know if I want to drive out there but they have fabbed the brackets to sit lower and are a direct bolt in for my truck. I don't have fabbing skillz nesecarily so it may work out nice!

If I remember correclty I had a lincoln Mark VIII and it had similar seat brackets to my ranger. Gotta check that out.

my sis has a 2004 and ive driven max about a 2-3 hours straight, pretty **** coferatable, way better than a bench seat
