Because then it would simply be a retaliatory thing, instead of repping people for posts that are worthy of being repped..either positive or negative.
If someone negs you (for a post worthy of a neg rep)...you would probably go back and neg them out of pure vengence. That is not how the system is supposed to work.

but that IS how it works... if you know that your SN will follow, you will be less likely to leave neg reps... making the system more useful.. as of right now, it is pointless

IIRC, unless they leave a comment, it won't show that you've been repped. I've got a rep of 70 right now and I still see comments from early February on there.

From what i understand the IDQ isn't known for its loudness per se, but its hard to beat in SQ. Thats not to say the IDQ won't be loud enough for your needs.
