question about the movie "old school"

assuming it has a 350, ported heads (or after market aluminum heads), and a cam on a rebuilt engine will get that van moving pretty good. you would want a at least a 2500 rpm stall torque converter... should be doable on the cheap too.
thats pretty vague to specifically need a 2500 stall. you have to have some idea of what kind of power you are putting down and if it's a drag, or street car. although 2500 stall is not very high

 
We had one with the 5.7L V8 in it.

You can also get newer ford ones that are pretty powerful, they use them off roading...

There cargo and conversion. Your looking for cargo, im not sure of all the options but the one im most familier with is the 5.4l Triton

i said "at least". i would put a 2500 stall conv on any mildly modified engine. i think that you may have understood what i was saying but i did respond with very little info.
