Question about the 9887 after you've set it up using imprint

I'm guessing the imprint sets up the system for a flat freq response, which I'm guessing will leave me wanting a bit more output from my sub. I am certainly no "bass head" by any stretch of the imagination, but I have heard systems that were supposedly set up for a flat freq response using a spectrum analyzer and I have to say I like more sub output than what is considered balanced. Once the 9887 has been set up using the imprint, do you still have the use of the HU's sub out level control, or is the treble and bass control the only adjustments you have without turning off the MultEQ?

You'll still have bass/treble and sub-level to control.

I keep my sub-level at around 10-11 out of 15 for it to blend well for my taste. And I don't like too much bass. You can still change the sub gain if you want more, especially that you need to set it to 1/2 or less for the measurement to be right.

After you've set up the system using the imprint, is there a way you can look at where it has everything set as far as time correction adjustments, EQ settings, crossover points, etc, so you could make manual adjustments that are close to the settings from imprint? I'll just use one frequency band as an example. Lets say imprint chooses a high pass crossover point for your midrange driver of 100 hz, it sets the EQ at 100 hz -3db, and a time correction of -xxxmsec. Lets say you wanted to make a slight adjustment to increase the amount of midbass, but you'd like to know where your starting so you can stay close to where the imprint set it up. Can you go in and manaully adjust the crossover point to 80 hz and set the EQ to +3db without throwing any of the other adjustments the imprint made out of whack?

I don't have it, but I know that no manual adjustments can be made to the system except for the bass/treble and sub control.
I thought you had an imprint? Or was it you who was talking about renting one from Crutchfield? Is that what you did?

I realize you can't make manual adjustments once the imprint has been used to set up the system and the MultEQ is activated, but is there a way to see how the imprint has the system adjusted so you could then turn off the MultEQ funtion and go in and make manual adjustments that would be close to how the imprint set it up?

Nope, and you won't be able tog et anywhere close to the imprints tuning as it does t/a, and 512 bands of eq, where we only have 7 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I am thinking about purchasing an imprint, but haven't made the decision yet.
