EDIT: stop post dumping. i asked a question and everyone is commenting on the other guys box

ok, i was talking to this guy today who has what he says is a t-line box in his car. i never seen or heard one, so it was new to me. he also had another one he built without a sub in it, and it looked like a standard L port box, without the L. it had the long divider in it like an L port, but the part that makes the 90 degree angle was out. it was just basicly a box with a port, and a peice of wood running down the middle of it about 3/4 of the way. is that what a t-line looks like? he was also telling me t-lines are SQ oriented ported box. the pressure and loudness of a ported box but sound and quality of a sealed box. is this true? if not could you please explain and show me a t-line box

heres the one I built... loud like a ported box but has way better SQ

now what i mean about the tline box i saw is this, if you look at the pic above and take everything out of it except the peice of wood in the middle, the line. thats what his tline looked like. just one divider in the middle of the box

as you can see I didn't do the blueprints, but to me it resembles a ported enclosure with a tiny chamber and a huge port. My DD only had about 1/2" magnet clearance when installed. The blueprints were also very specific on where the woofer needed to mount. Obviously there's a little more going on with it. sounds **** good to me:D

i don't get it, hows it really any different than a regular ported box?
Interesting how these things are getting more complex, the only response that I have to this would be something that they borowed from that fancy BOSE wave radio, supposedly tunnels or tubes makes it sound better:confused: anyone is free to correct me if I'm wrong which I'm almost sure I am.

I don't know how it differs but like I said... it beat out my old ported box in every aspect. It got lower, it sounded tighter and more defined, and I was able to turn my gain down without losing any output.
