question about stock alt

160 amp should be enough for that amount of power. But If this alt is in the car in your sig ( ford escort ) I highly doubt it's 160amp. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i just looked under the hood of my car and i saw a marking that said "160A" right in front of where the stock alternator is located, printed on the frame. is this right?? if so will it hold up with about 1200w being pulled continuously? thanks. i plan on doing the big 3 but i was wondering about my stock amp rating. thanks
Well, it's a escort... so maybe the frame's only rated for 160A.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

I kid, I kid....

Couldn't tell ya really, check the alt itself. Most of the time there is a sticker or plate that tells the amperage or at least the model. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
