i have an old rockford fosgate 100ix the old school stuff can it be ran at 2 0hm and what abot the low pass chip hoe=w is that set or how do you check it any info would be greatly appreciated... ok people tested today at 2 ohms and beat the kicker to death so i will be running it and it is still for sale offers will be considered...

Im pretty sure ya cant run em 1ohm. Ive had a few of those.

these amp are not stasble at 1 ohm...bridged these are good at 4 ohm only...they will fry like bacon if you run them @2 or lower.....

oops i screwed up the sub is dual 4 ohm so i will have to run it at 8 or 2 ohm bridged i just wanns know they best way to make this amp sound good with my 10L7...

Amp guts says 2 ohm stereo or 4 ohm mono. Most old school shit is rated for 4 om's mono. All my amps are. Dont go below 4. You can run lower, but who knows how long it will last lol. Could be. If it was a 150 i would tell you to get a different sub, again i dont know much about the ix. PM 310w6 man, he might take it off your hands. He is a wizz with those rockford amps.

if it has the end caps you can get a bit more. those are great amps. that amp will actually do about 600w. the punch 40 does about 98w per ch @4ohms. and it is rated @ 20 wpc. maybe someone on here has a nice mono amp that you can trade. i know those amps go for about 120-130 on ebay with the end caps. so good condition you should be able to get a decent mono for that. 600d or 750d.

Many people (Including myself) have ran them at 2 ohms mono and never had a problem. I collect DSM's and they are fine at 2 ohms mono AS LONG AS THERE IS PROPER AIR FLOW.

Dont cram it under a seat, or get crazy with the gains... and it will run fine at that ohm. My 200ix runs at 2 ohm daily and has for years with no problems.
