Question About old engines/car

Is it worth getting a camaro that has a 305 v8 with 190,000 miles on it? Or am I just wasting my time and money....id like people with experience to answer this

Seems to me small block chevy motors run forever. Worst case you scouer the internetz for a built on for cheap and drop it in.

The guy says it runs solid, how much more of a lifespan do you think it has? I just want to know this before I make the decision to drive 2 hours up to see it.

Really depends on the engine. These older designed v-8's don't last nearly as long as engines of today. I'd say there isn't a whole lot of life left before it needs a rebuild.

the one i looked at a few days ago already sold to some lucky woman/man. I wanted it badly, but i realize it probably would have been a mistake to get since its gonna rattle apart anyways.

I'd go for it. I mean if everything else on the car seems in good condition for its age even if the engine goes bad, you can find something to replace it for the cheap.

Hard to say. Thing is it depends on who had it before them. A car with 150000 can drive way different if another person had the same car but drove a treated it like ****.

My goal is to get an older camaro below 1991 and above 1980 just because I love the way they look. Its purpose is to be a daily driving bass machine. It will have a wall with two 18's.

My dad had a 91 convertible camaro rs which i drove quite often when i was younger and i do really like those as well, just wasn't sure your reasoning for it.

Im not saying its something you should get, just saying the reason i want it (relive the first car). I was wondering if there was a reason you were so set on the 2 you picked, but you already answered, so it's all good.
