Question about my Legacy 800W amp...

Hey....I just got my hands on an American Legacy 800W amp. Its model number is LA590 i believe...

Anyways, I dont know much about sounds systems, and I was just wondering if this is a good amp and all that stuff. It'll be pushing a 1000W 10' in a bandpass box...please help me out.

I would say if you can afford it get a better amp...but i really think it all depends on what your looking for. What kinda of 10"s do you have?

Legacy amps are not exactly known for power or quality...the only thing that they are known for is being a good paperweight. Maybe a door stop. My point is, save up and wait to get a good quality amp.

If you already bought it then you will be alright. But like RangerMan said they are overrated and lack quality and power.

It should do pretty well bridged on a single 10. Maybe 250x1 bridged at 4 ohms. Hard to say how long it might last though.

I have the same amp pushing 2 Sony Xplod 12" in a sealed box. It sounds pretty good, but I'd rather have a real amp
