Question about low expansion foam to stop rattles. Should I, or shouldn't I?

There are a couple of really tight spots especially in my trunk lid that are not accessible except through a small hole. The outer skin of my trunk is rattleing in the only spot I could get to with dynamat. I have some low expansion spray foam that I am considering trying, but I want to see if anyone else has tried this with good or bad results.

Please post your results if you have tried something like this. Thanks

it will work, spl guys do it.

Your trunk will not stay up anymore though.

great stuff is the shiz. just gotta know what you're doing. ive seen metal get bad dents from it.

I know what your talking about "denting" that's why I got low expansion. I have seen someone shoot a bunch of the regular expansion stuff into a wall cavity in a house and it was strong enough to break out the sheetrock on both sides of the wall within about 15min. Lol

lol yeah its bad if used wrong.

I used the lower expansion great stuff (its like yellowish) in my trunk lid and then put several coats of spectrum over it. No more excessive trunk lid rattle. Still flexes of course, but doesnt rattle annoyingly.

Trunk lid stays open unless I am on a steep hill.. Then it slaps me in the back of the head.

better than having a pole to hold it up because i hat to remove the shocks :/
