I'm not really familiar with the older model kicker L7s... I'm very experienced in building enclosures... Just not very experienced with THIS model subwoofer. If anyone could tell me what HZ to tune this sub HOOD BANGING - ( I'm in the hood - you know how that goes - subs that rattle buildings and move air and break sh*t are in high demand )... Please let me know. The enclosure that I'm goin' to be putting it in with be:

38"W x 14.5"H x 24.5"D - 7.96cuft externally ( Based off the Probox SuperBass Ported Dimension for the Kicker 12L7s ( Dual subwoofer enclosure ) - it just won't be tuned @ 50hz like Probox... I don't know if that box will be TOO larger for this subs - I'm doubting it do to the fact that it's a 15 and I think kicker says it go up to a 7 or 8 cuft. enclosure....

... If anyone could help - It would be GREATLY appreciated!

PS: The Model # on the Subs are " Kicker S15L7 "

... If that means anything...

ALSO! - This is for (1) 15... The other 15 has a rubbing voice coil problem... ( Hopefully that can be resolved - if not - oh well ) - For $100 for (2) Kicker S15L7s w/ broken Tinsel Leads on 1 sub ( Soldered and discovered it was rubbing ) & Sealed Box - Can't beat that with a stick - I pretty much figured I could sell the PERFECT working sub and give it an efficent ported enclosure & double the price...

Kicker says:

6.0 cuft + Port

Port: 3.5" W x 16.25" H x 13.75" Long ( 38hz ) ( Based on Kicker's SPL-Deep Bass Ported Specs. )

... I can only go 13" high ( box is 14.5" high externally )

So I would have to add 3.25" to the Width of the port to keep it at 38hz.

* Well - doesn't look like there's gonna be much help... I'm about to start. *

After displacements - I have 5.62cuft - That shouldn't hurt anything...

i got my L7 15 in a lil over 4 cubes tuned to 33hz. plays everything nicely and doesnt bottom out. i dunno how well that box height is gonna work. the top 2 screws might pop out the top of the box or split the wood so make sure you drill a pilot hole for those first. and isnt the cutout hole for the l7 15 like 13.25" iirc

I'm gonna post pictures up very soon...

... I finished about 2hrs. ago

The sub is on top... and all that wasn't necessary at all - it's doin' just fine. ( No screws poppin' out... lol )

... And the cut of is 14. ( you could do 13.25" - but you gonna force the hell out of the wood )

And a video is gonna be posted also...
