Question about 2 Kicker Comp CVR12-2

Ok...Well i just bought 2 12inch kicker comp cvr12-2 and with those i bought an alpine m605 amp...and i was wondering would that amp have enough power to run these subs to full potential. The kicker comp cvr12-2's are 400 rms subs and 800 peak...the alpine m605 amp is rated at 600 watts at 2ohms...if you have any information that would help...thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

no you wont be able to run them at full potential, together your subs are 800 watts rms. your amp will only put out 600 watts rms, you will be ~100 watts short to each sub. you could pick up a bigger amp or try and return the amp you have for the alpine 1000 watt amp.

O ya i forgot to tell you i am putting the 2 12's into a sealed truck box...and i thought you were supposed to run subs a little under the rms...so any information would help me out...thanks

eh you should be alright, you can always add more power if its not loud enough

u should be fine for now, is the amp 1ohm stable? if so u could always add another amp run 1 on each sub

you mean as in door speakers? i bought some alpines im not sure on the model number there only 6.5inch...but my h/u will be alright its the alpine CDA-9851

Well...I got my system installed today and it is not lacking power at all the alpine m605 amp surprised me...my system sounds really good...thanks for all the information
