Quantum Physics

I know there are many interesting things in regards to quantum physics, so feel free to express your own opinion and bring to life new topics when you feel. I will start off with energy. Hopefully there are not to many arguments since this is a very complicated subject.

Science proves that energy cannon be destroyed nor created, that it is infinite. Well, my question is if energy is eternal ( saying we are directly a part of the universe and it is a part of us) then wouldn't it make more sense that we will never actually see complete death? Since Energy cannot completely die, it can only change forms, it only makes sense to me that every thing in the universe is recycled energy from another form.

but, we now know that our consciousness exists in a physical form (neurons firing in the brain) thus proving this almost impossible to live an afterlife. For some reason i still believe in a possible afterlife though, although I think it is more likely that consciousness dies when brain activity dies.

A couple of other things i was wondering

Who or what encoded our cells to die? Are there other realities beyond the veil of this existence. ( can meditation cause you to see these realities, or at least previews of them).

As we age our ability to replicate DNA loses fidelity.....ie things start getting a little screwy leading to all kinds of diseases
