Did a rebuild for a customer the other day. He wanted this build to handle as much power as we could possibly build it for.

We used a custom dual 0.3 ohm coil, 5 STIFF spiders, and these:

4 going to each leg of the coil, so 8 total wires per coil.

On the website they're rated for anything over 3500w rms. Who's really sending 3500w rms to a single coil anyway? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I dont really think that they can be burnt before the coil does. We're talking well over 250amps of continuous handling from the leads. No coil out there can withstand that for any long period of time.

If one snaps, which it shouldn't, the others would still be completely working, just sharing whatever power is flowing through them.

These were just recone kits for Konaki motors. The one with quad leads is for an 18", and I did 2 more for 12's. They had 5 stiff spiders. The 18" has a dual 0.3 ohm coil. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

The 12's have triple leads, and this nifty new spacing ring that I drew up for the Konaki/DD baskets. It spaces the spider landing up and from a 7.5" spider, to an 8" spider! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

The glue is still wet in a couple of these pics, but you can see how it looks when it dries and shrinks up.

i would love to see a pix of that i have yet to see more than a single lead attached at the coil.

ur work always looks great just wondering the benifits when the lead wire is so much larger than the coil wire itself how much dose it help.
