quad and street bike riders?

I've road 600s, 1k....all fun bikes, but today I went to cycle world to check out the 250R...none in stock :-(

Cheap bike also, MSRP of $3499.

But yeah buy a bike that suits your needs.

X2. Dirt bikes and quads are totally different than street bikes.
And don't listen to xxBURT0Nxx. A 600 is a big ****in bike. They do 0-60 in right close to 3 seconds. It's WAY too much power for you to handle right off the bat. And it's why my insurance is so ****ing high. Idiots don't respect how much power is really there with a 600 superbike and they end up dead.

Just get something a little more tame of a street bike and learn to ride on it.
bingo!

i believe theres some similarities to riding a dirtbike and a street bike. but knowing how to ride a dirtbike well does not make up for the fact that you should start out small on a street bike. theres a lot more that can go wrong on the pavement.

Is that so?
When I purchased my Focus 2 years ago, I had a credit rating of 575 and got 10% interest rate on it. No co-sign, 500 dollars down.
10% sucks even worse if you bought new. Its not bad as in I have a bunch of cards I maxed out and never payed one payment on but still means you have a few 'issues' on your report no matter how small they may be a neg is a neg.

In general this seems to be the same basic setup for everyone as far as I can tell and from experience, I did have a

750 - 800 is Excellent

660 - 749 is Good

620 - 659 is Fair

359 - 619 is Poor

I think a 600 is a good starter bike. The bigger the bike, the easier it is to ride. Little bikes take more work to ride.

Seriously, a new rider with no experience on a big bike like that is a bad idea. When something happens on the road (and it will) and they have to make a quick decision, they will either lock up the front tire and dump the bike or accidentally flick the throttle at the wrong time and loop it. There is just too much power there for a beginner. I will agree that a bigger bike may be more comphortable and easier for someone that knows what they're doing, but for a beginner, it will most likely result in a wreck.

Oh, so 20% is worst than 10%?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Sorry, but I made out pretty good considering I went bankrupt, not a year before that.

I think that the majority of the people who are replying in this thread with a few exceptions have never ridden and have no idea what the hell they are talking about.

I've ridden dirtbikes, streetbikes, and quads( not often though). If you want a toy to start, get a dirtbike not a quad. Though there are many differences from a street bike, it will help you with balance, shifting, throttle control and brakes. It will give you more of a feel for twisting the throttle and feeling the response so when your on a sportbike yuo sont flip it, than the quad.

If you have neveer ridden before a 600 is too much bike for most. As said before, too much gas and your on your back. However after riding a decent size DB (about 250cc) a 600 wouldnt be too much as long as you take some time to get used to it.
