im 19 and now have the credit score of a 613 which is fair..my question is do you think im able to get a quad? like one of them promo things spend up to 5k and pay $39 a month for 2 years type things? i want to get the quad for a year or 2 then trade it in for a street bike..i figure the quad would give me some experince and FUN..lol

Goto a local shop and see about financing. Their the only ones that's gonna be able to tell ya. Good choice, I miss my toys.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

you cannot correlate any experience you may gather on a quad and apply it towards street bikes. If you want a street bike just get one but I would just buy a cheap old bike to learn on and not something I owe money on.

Most likely not... you usually have to put like 85% down to get those kind of deals. Assuming 0% intrest 48 mos of payments at $40 is only like $2000. That obviously means you will have to put down around 3k, and probably closer to 3.5 to account for intrest

the way that those loans work is that they increase dramatically at the end of 2 years or whatever term they advertise.

Even then, most people I know that do the low rate for 2 years pay it off at the end of 2 yrs and get a loan for the rest from the bank or save cash until then to pay it off.

not that you will do it. but if you were wanting a bike i would suggest starting out with a ninja 250 for atleast a few months and then stepping up to a real bike once you have the dynamics understood.

I would reccommend that you just take a course on motorcycle operation. They usually cost around $200 and last 2 days. You learn how to ride, and get your license at the end of the class. Then determine what type of bike you want to ride. You will know how comfortable you are on a 250, 550, 600, 650, 750, 1000, etc. I think a 600 would be a good starting bike. Not toooo much power, but still enough that you will be happy once you are comfortable riding it. Don't listen to people who tell you this bike is too much power, as you don't have to use all of that power, and if you do then you don't have self control

hmm really no experince? not even from a dirt bike?

I hope this is not the case

this is what i think after the time of the loan i wanted to trade it in on street bike..and/or use my college money to pay it off..

I heard about this course sounds good

613 sucks, you will need someone to co-sign or end up getting some ripoff interest rate of like 20% or so.
I was looking for an answer like this..613 is really that bad? the credit score people said it was fair..

X2. Dirt bikes and quads are totally different than street bikes.

And don't listen to xxBURT0Nxx. A 600 is a big ****in bike. They do 0-60 in right close to 3 seconds. It's WAY too much power for you to handle right off the bat. And it's why my insurance is so ****ing high. Idiots don't respect how much power is really there with a 600 superbike and they end up dead.

Just get something a little more tame of a street bike and learn to ride on it.
