Q to L7's...

more cone area, i think it would be louder with the l7's. probably would take up close to the same space for a box too

and i know most people will tell you that l7's are much more of an SPL woofer than a Q...but when your dealing with 1000+ watts will you hear the difference between the two....also two 15 l7's is an option as well.

i don't think that i will have the funds to add another 18" and the power / electrical that will come with it...

Yeah, thats what im thinking would be best. Plus, everyone and their brother has L7s anyways, so why not be unique and have something different? 18s are very rare in most amateur car audio enthusiast's garages, and it will be more interesting than L7s. And deeper.

or maybe just try a new box with the q, the box in your sig is huge and tuned low as hell

He tried a new box already, the second one listed... 6 cubic feet tuned to 30 somethin hz.

Well tuning to 28hz isn't going to help that happen.
