Python 460HP, thieves got my remote, Python no help

Hello, my car was broken into, most but not all my stereo is gone. One good amp remains, and I would like to keep it that way. I stupidly had a extra keyless entry remote in the car they got as well. So now, they have nice and simple access to my car any time they want.

I called Directed/Python, and they will not, under any case, let me talk to a tech. I can not believe the security of their entire system relies on no one leaking programming data to others.

I get conflicting data from dealers, one tells me I have to replace the brains entirely, one tells me they can reset it with some special codes.

The original installer is not around anymore, there are only 2 dealers even remotely close. Since I doubt that just knowing how to re-program your car alarm would allow you to also know how to bypass it, from what I can gather, I bet you need access to the inside of the cars reset button to do this, which no thief could get. (Well, in my case, they do have that :) )

Does anyone have a pdf, or at least can explain to me how to reprogram this, as well as ebable auto-arming, heck, the entire set of instructions would be nice, seems there are a few others on the internets looking for this data.

I am off to go park my car at a friends house, pretty lame.

Im not sure if the standard delete all transmitters programming option will work with the original remotes, or if those are permanently linked, but heres the process:

Open a door

key in the run position

press the valet switch 14 times

press once more and hold until the siren chirps

release

After that all will be deleted so you must program the one you have:

Open a door

key in the run position

press the valet switch 1 time

press once more and hold

while holding press the lock button on your remote (siren should make noise)

release

Thanks so much!

I will try this, by any chance, do you have valet mode and auto engage alarm programming methods as well?

i am with you on this one. me personally i wouldnt risk it what i would do is go and buy a new one swap the brain and antenna out then there is no worrying about it.

Just do a delete all transmitters then an autolearn... the alarm won't eve respond to the one that was stolen. here is directions for your unit:

open your door, turn on ign, press valey button 9times then one more time and hold it... should blink 9times or honk 9times one of the two... hit your lock button on your remote. tha twill delete all transmitters... to readd them turn your ign off then back on again(door still open) hit the valet button once... then one more itme and hold it this time. Hit lock button on your new remotes and you are now programmed.

Did you have the alarm installed when they broke into your car? and if so the alarm did not do you any good they still got your stuff please clear this up for me I`m reading what you wrote and it is kind of cloudy.

Sorry, let me explain

I am a idiot, and managed to leave my car un-armed. I also has a spare transmitter in the glove box, as I have been in cases in the past where the current one on my keychain has gotten flakey.

So, they broke in, well, more like let themselves in, and found my stereo gear, as well as a bunch of other stuff. But now they have a transmitter, and an easy way to get back in. Kinda like losing your keys, more or less.

I think there is enough data in this thread for me to fix this, but I sure would like to know how to auto-arm the system in the event I forget, as well as learn the disarm with no transmitter trick as well.

well its not that hard to test, he can delete all then see if the remote in his hand works, if it does then go your route, if not program the one in his hand

thejoker989, right, thats what I did, I got a new remote, de-authorized all the old ones, made sure none of them worked. Then added the new remote, and the old one still does not work, yay.

For what it is worth, the steps above to press valet button 14 times are wrong, it is the 10 times one that worked. I dont know why the 14 one did not work, maybe my model was the wrong one, but thanks for trying.

Thanks all, and still looking for the passive alarm engage settings as well as no remote disable settings.
