There is a 100 feet roll of 10 gauge from amazon for 25 bucks, I have a giftcard from amazon and I need some speaker wires to install my components so I just want to use my card. I got 30 on my card and the options on amazon arent that great but here is my most logic choice.

Since the crossovers are a bit far from the speakers so I want to use 14 gauge at least so I figured since Pyle is a crappy brand, I should get 10 gauge which will be equal to 14 or 16 gauge in most cases?

Am I making any sense lol?

P.S. I will be running 125w rms per channel, possibly 250w bridged.

It's technically power wire, not speaker wire, since there isn't a 10g+ and 10g- in the same casing...but it could be used for speaker wire in high powered subwoofer applications...just get standard speaker wire, you can get 50ft of 14g at wal-mart for ~$15, and it'll be easier to use and less bulky. No need to use that for your speakers.

agreed and that stuff at walmart is actually pretty dam decent. use the amazon card for **** or something.

you can get great deals on CL2/CL3 in-wall wire from places like Parts Express. I like having the extra protection of twisted speaker wire that in-wall wire provides. Parts Express has plenty of other wire to choose from.

like this:

Amazon.com: 14/2 In Wall Speaker Wire 100 ft Spool CL2 Rated UL Listed Pro-Installer Series: Electronics

i never buy anything audio related from Walmart. i avoid that place.

but for the most part - wire is wire. that 10awg is probably real 10awg and may prove to be too bulky and large. also, it's all red. non-color coded speaker wire sucks. you want to have confidence in polarity and since you have to double up, you only have 50ft.

in-wall wire is also great in 14/4 configurations for having one nice neat sheath for four conductors. great when you're interfacing behind the head unit or factory amplifier.

i'm using Belden 14/4 and 14/2 in my car.

hell, if this dude can find you some good wire so you can use the amazon card, id go for it. on a side note, some of those items you may buy from another place could have the same main manufacturer as walmart. not in most cases, im sure, but its very possible, but like you did state, wire is wire really.

That link you posted is nice but I am looking to just use my card without shelling out anything lol. I got Amazon Prime membership.

how about this one since I realized I would need it color coded. so here is the 12 gauge speaker wire by pyrmaid. LINK
