Put my puppy down tonight :(

so i decided to put one of my pitbull puppys down tonight because we took her to the emergency clinic and was tested positive for parvo. it was a hard choice to make because it was my wifes puppy and she was at work and no way to get ahold of her but we just dont have the money right now to try to get the puppy through it at like 200 dollars a day around here. so i had to be the bad guy in her eye. i feel really bad

i had a feeling she had parvo because of the vomiting and diareha and not eating or drinking for the past 3 days. she was looking really bad and not doing anything besides laying down. it sucks because now our other puppy has noticed that shes gone so is acting wierd now. hope he doesnt end up getting it as well but it seems like he would have got it by now if he was going too.

one of our pups on the farm had it, it survived but I heard that shit stays there for a long while in the ground or w/e.

never heard of it, but my pup has gone through more trauma in her 15 years then most people do.

take the other puppy somewhere else if you can... disinfect where the sick puppy was being held ..

the other puppy can get parvo if they were both together when the first one got sick..

how old are the pups? have you got them their first shots yet ?

Parvo sucks! pittys are pron to skin problems a diseases in aus, it's crap

I used to raise beagle pups when I was younger. Parvo would wipe out the whole kennel in a matter of days.

If you care about your other dog, disinfect your kennel, yard or house immediately...

my dad has breed dogs and said hes had litters where 1 would get parvo and the others didnt. also had dogs get thier parvo shots and the next day die of it. all kinds of crazy things. hopefully since he isnt showing signs of having it that he doesnt have it and wont get it since them 2 were from the same litter and both did EVERYTHING together. i mean everthing. he wouldnt do anything unless she was too.
