if got lots of friends DS games are the shiet.

But if you play a lot by yourself PSP is the way to go. and if you know the right people, you can have them hack into your psp and get free games FTW!

Finally someone who has actually played a DS and a Psp comes in here. DS games are so much fun compared to PSP games. The only game I like on PSP is GTA and maybe Madden. but madden gets boring. DS games are the shizz. Now if you like super nintendo games you can play those on psp using emulators but it got boring fast as well.

I would say the DS. I have both of them and my PSP just sits around collecting dust. The games on the DS are so much better. Not graphically, but fun wise. And the movie thing is pointless on the PSP. The UMD movie sales have slumped were most of the movie studios have already announced that they will stop to manufacture them. Way to go Sony, yet another failed attempt to make a format. Anyone ever notice how Sony keeps trying to come up with various formats and none of them take off. BetaMAX, MiniDisc, SACD, UMD. I have a feeling that BluRay will be the same way. HD-DVD is already out and selling like crazy.

But you can watch movies on both of the systems. Buy a Gameboy Advance flash cartridge and copy your movies to it in a format the DS can read. PSP, you just buy a large memory stick and copy the movie to the format it can read. u know whats funny is i thought the same thing, but Mario kart is by far the best Portable game ive ever played. The online is fun the offline is fun you can link with friends to.

Yeah a real crappy Ipod, that supports very few audio formats and is bulky.

I would rather have an Ipod or another dedicated MP3 player that is smaller and supports more.

It is just like anything else, when a company tries to cram to much into a device, something has to suffer.

I have both and like the thread started stated, both have their pros and cons. I also have an ipod and it is by far a way better mp3 player than the psp will ever be. But the psp can play movies which is useful on trips and such. The wireless internet is fun but not that fun, it's slow and most websites aren't formated to work with it so it is really useless IMO. Both handhelds have good games! They have their respective franchises and get their own exclusive games. I enjoy shooting some hookers in GTA just as much as doing a little racing in MarioKart. IMO the decision should be based upon the games. If you like Nintendo's games, get the DS. If you like Sony's games, get the psp. /story

Good choice! I have only played the DS a couple of times and the games to me are just not as good. Plus the graphics, ahahaha the graphics. Anyway.....
