Ps3 Vs. 360

how is the blu ray slow??

its not as fast loading as an 8track but it does take about 20 sec to load.

20 sec to start a huge movie file, output dts-hd,1080p,and the menus at the bottom.

So I guess the 5 sec start time of a CD is slow also?

just ignore him, it may be slow compared to a normal dvd, or other BR players on the market, but its because it is a 2.0 player

360:

Larger and more varied game library

Online service is infinitely better

Comes with cables to go HD, minus the optical

XBox live Arcade

PS3

More reliable hardware*although MS hopes to fix this, still something*

controllers are factory rechargeable

built in wifi

able to rip cds

able to rip files from other devices on the network

blu-ray

PSN game

Quieter

Can swap HDDs without voiding your warranty

USB HDD and thumbsticks serve as ways to do system updates, install other OS

Honestly, it's the game selection keeping me form playing my PS3. Any multiplatform game I get for 360 because of LIVE. As soon as more exclusives get out, It'll be better.

i havent had any issue with ps3 online, sometimes 360 gets laggy with users.

If it werent for halo, I'd play my ps3 more than my 360....

People act like psonline is horrendous, but it really isn't "that" bad.

360 can rip CDs FYI.

360:1. Better exclusives

2. Larger library (small bit now)

3. Xbox Live

4. Controller is better IMO

5. Price, soon MS is releasing new 360's with the Jasper chipset (RRoD eliminated) with a 60g HDD for 250.00, so this is really hard to beat.

PS3

1. Hacking, Linux etc.

2. Blu-Ray, even though it is slow as shit

3. You can expand the HD without voiding the warranty or paying an arm and leg.

4. Game library is decent

5. Hardware, more reliable and powerful

6. Built in Wi-Fi

7. Motion sensing, even though i could care less
More reliable yes, more powerful, not necessarily. Most game developers and analysts have said that the Cell is more powerfull than the Xenon, but the GPU in the 360 is more powerful than the GPU in the PS3, negating many advntages of the Cell processor. In use developers have been able to get better graphics or the same graphics at higher frame rates out of the 360 than the PS3.

only if you have the optional hard drive //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
Thats a given, seriously, who buys it without the HDD though? I have never seen anyone who owns it that does not have an HDD with it.

at the present time, yes. Given the extra year spent developing games for the 360 no wonder they have better graphics. Look at launch ps2 games vs ps2 games 2 years later. This is an even steeper learning curve.

The PS3 is the superior of the two systems, hardware wise. It should be it cost more, came out later, and has the advantages of an extra year of innovation before it was launched

Then people need to quit with the argument that they are so inexpensive.

and I have one at the house with a bad cd drive that has no hard drive. So somebody buys them

it's more expensive because of the blu-ray player.
