agreed. what are they like 30/disc? **** a dick. That's too expensive for a movie you're going to watch, what maybe 3-4 times?... and they wonder why people "pirate"

It depends on the movie. New releases are $29.99 and I've seen some older movies for $19.99. Besides you can rent blu-ray movies from Netflix.

Too expensive for my taste. It's like paying the 60 or whatever for a game. Will they continue to go up 10 - 20 dollars as newer consoles come out?

Really? IIRC.. super nintendo/n64 games were 20 - 30.. playstation/xbox were 40 - 50.. and xbox360/ps3 are 50 - 60. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

PS2 came out about 7-10 years ago and game started at $49.99, now they are $59.99.

any new technology is expensive, but the price will come down

I remember when you couldn't touch a DVD player under $150, now they go for $20

1. Better exclusives

2. Larger library (small bit now)

3. Xbox Live

4. Controller is better IMO

5. Price, soon MS is releasing new 360's with the Jasper chipset (RRoD eliminated) with a 60g HDD for 250.00, so this is really hard to beat.

PS3

1. Hacking, Linux etc.

2. Blu-Ray, even though it is slow as shit

3. You can expand the HD without voiding the warranty or paying an arm and leg.

4. Game library is decent

5. Hardware, more reliable and powerful

6. Built in Wi-Fi

7. Motion sensing, even though i could care less
