Just letting you guys know. Im not gonna get one, 600 dollars is bullshit.

Limited PlayStation 3 Pre-Order

GameStop and EB Games will begin accepting limited pre-orders for the PlayStation 3 console on Tuesday, October 10, on a first come, first served basis. Due to extremely limited supply, we expect to deplete this allocation very quickly, most likely in minutes. We will not accept additional pre-orders at this time. To avoid an unnecessary trip we strongly recommend you call your local store to determine availability. A $100 reservation deposit is required, which can be funded with cash, credit or trade. As we cannot control production and shipping issues by the manufacturer, a reservation deposit does not guarantee receipt of a system available to purchase at launch. Reservations/Purchases are limited to 1 per household.

Our limited online pre-order program will be announced at a later date, after software and accessory availability dates are confirmed. Online product pricing and availability will vary and will be fulfilled independent of store reservations.

Is it me or does playstation not really have good games, i wanna get a 360. Ps seems more like a offline games system.

playstation does have good games, but i still prefer my 360. i still wanna get the new nintendo and a ps3 eventually. but i've been a playstation fanboy for xenogears/xenosaga, final fantasy, socom, and devil may cry.

go 360 if you want the best online gaming......

go with either if you want next-gen graphics

wait to see who wins in the hd-dvd/blu ray competition if you're into hi def movies

go 360 if you want to save a few hundred $$$$

go wii if you like new/different stuff.......what's with that controller anyway?

IMO the only must have games for PS2 were Grand Theft Auto and Metal Gear Solid 2/3....well Sony lost GTA so its going to the 360 now...and I sure as hell aint paying $600 to play MGS4 or 5 or w/e it is. WII is where its at...possibly getting a 360 after a price drop.

i could really care-less about all that blu-ray/hd-dvd shit. a movie is a freaking movie. but then again i don't have a hi-def tv, so i'm not real big into all the home audio/video scene yet.

i still love the graphics of my 360 on my plain tv. they're still very beautiful and matched with my sony sound system setup it sounds decent. at least i have bass and surround sound. but then again all i'm paying is $10 a month for my 360 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/woot.gif.aaa6090e619a97b6090d16dd863c5a69.gif

the dead rising commercials have made me want to buy a 360, but i will probably get a wii, once zelda is out.

the only ps2 games ive really liked are katamari damashii and god of war.

The GameStop by me took ALOT of Xbox360 pre-orders before they knew how many they were going to get. I had a reservation then was told on release day by an automated phone call that I would have to wait a month or two to get it because they took too many reservations..

Hopefully the one by your house didn't mess up.

yeah. if i really wanted to, i would've been in the top 5 on the list, but i had no idea of pricing and all the problems they've had with the blu-ray players. i'd rather take my chances waiting overnight on launch day to get one than relying on reservations. i waited 14+hrs on launch day to get a 360 last year. just so happened i caught a no interest promo offer at best buy.

WII does look sweet..I'd be all over it if they made it a HD system.....I will try to pick one up eventually though.

im sorry, but i think the wiis just look gay. i dont like the whole controller concept. i'm not going to buy either, but if i were to buy one of them, i'd probably buy the playstation.
