Resistance, Fallout, Burnout. Metal Gear can be fun, if you don't mind a mess of a story.

GT Prologue is a ****ing joke, honestly. You can't alter the cars save for some settings and there are very few cars.

I'm not into sports games or wrestling, so my input there is useless.

Saints Row 2 or GTAIV for the sandbox treatment. Assassin's Creed and Bioshock are great games, but may be an acquired taste.

The PSN network has some interesting down-loadable games you could check into. Echochrome is one of my preferred for puzzles.

I would rent it first, my wife bought it for me for teh cheap at gamestop when she bought my ps3 for my anniversary gift. Its different, open world and a semi interesting story but the missions are very similar and it got boring after a while. I still haven't finished it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif.

I recommend Bourne Conspiracy, nice mix of hand to hand combat and 3rd person shooter.
