LOLyes, but there is a trick to it.
Put the ps2 disc in the ps3's disc slot
You must open the back of the ps3 and solder pins 324a and 56y next to the cpu to a 250ohm resistor. Route that back thru a 250mf cap and solder to pin 17a(2b). Then plug a controller in the the 3rd usb slot and switch the unit on and off 7 times (letting it sit for 34seconds before switching). Then desolder the pins. works like a charm.

Buy a 07 80 gig ps3 or find an old 20 or 60.I just got the PS3 80gb. It plays PS1 games. Is there any way that It can play PS2 games??
