ps3/external hdd/ movie issue

Got an external hdd for my ps3. Already formatted to fat32. Had a buddy load up his movies into my drive. All works well. I get home and try to load up my own movie(s) and they do not show up on the ps3. All the files my buddy put in are there but not mine. WTF? Any suggestion?

just put all the movies on the hdd leave it attatched to the computer and use tversity, if you havea hulu account or youtube tversity can stream shows in your queue so you can watch them on the ps3. Get tversity it = awesomeness
