just compare the spiderman 2 games on both consoles(im not saying its a good game) but its easy to tell which is the better system, it looks like a 6th grader with terrets drew it on ps2--ghey!!! and i like xbox games better anyway halo 1&2 are debatably the best games of their times.

I, myself, am a ps2 fan as I really like the ps2 exclusive games more than the xbox exclusive games (MGS rules). As for graphics...xbox has slightly better graphics, but I haven't seen a game have better particle effects than Zone of Enders 2 for ps2. Besides, graphics hardware should not be a factor when choosing between the two, as the difference is neglegible compared to which games you like better.

Difference negligible?!?! HAHAHAH! I don't entirely agree with how graphics hardware should not be a factor either, if that was the case...i'd still be on SNES or something...lol.

In all honesty, i'd rather have a gamecube than a ps2...i HATE ps2. I HATE the PS2 controller( I think people are in love with it b/c it's just been around for so long...it's not ergonomical at all...and i hate the lay-out), the graphics are the shittiest of all three consoles (1 xbox, 2 gamecube, 3 ps2), price is not good compared to the other consoles, (ps2 and xbox are the same price...you are paying the same price for something releases nearly a year before...i'd never pay the same price for technology that is a year older. Also, the gamecube has better graphics than the ps2 at a MUCH lower price.), and reliability on the ps2 is shitty as hell.

That's my take on the console wars, and on ps2. When i got a console, it wasn't really a contest. BUT, if there would have been a contest...i would have chosen b/w xbox and gamecube. (Anyways, my brother has a gamecube...so I don't need1 anyways).

i own a ps2. great variety of games and pretty good graphics. xbox does in my open by playing halo 2 with a friend BETTER graphics. I am trying to decide if i should by an xbox or wait though fomr something new.

IMO Xbox is better, Better graphics, Pressure Sensitive buttons, and I hate the button config on the PS/2's controllers. And modding is good.

Ah the gamecube. Yes it may have better graphics then ps2 but it is sorely lacking in fun titles.

Ps2 has a bunch of fun games and good graphics. Dido for xbox.

Verdict: buy all 3

i have a ps2 , the reason why i got it is because GTA 3, i have never regretted it, i must say the stock controllers on PS2 are much better than x box's stock controllers, if i got an xbox the first thing i would do is buy a maddcatz controller much much nicer, although i have had some of my best gameing moments on an xbox playing halo with my buddies, i think bungi ( the maker of halo ) should also make halo for PS2, this would make some xbox owners mad, i know i was a little ticked when i heard rockstar starting making copies of GTA for xbox. Anyway, what do you guys think of NEED FOR SPEED UNDERGROUND 2 ?, better than the first ?, there is a new midnight club comign out too, midnight club 3 DUB edition, and also gran turismo 4

does a ps2 do High Definition? i seriosly dont know, i hope they didnt bother. but thats another thing thats tight about the xbox, HD halo 2 on a 60" big screen... mmmmmmm notin better folks!!

the ps2 does have s-video capability but i dont know if it is HD compatable. but i do know that the grafix for gt4 for ps2 will absolutely blow everyone away, atleast thats what i have read.

as for PS3, Sony has been working with Nvidia(sp?) and said that PS3 graphics will be as good or maybe better than the high end computers are now. something like 50 times as powerful as the current PS2. Xbox2 will be excellent...microsoft is developing their on graphics card supposedly.

Also, i'd like to see what the cost is going to be on either one...prolly won't be too happy.

you have controller and size on th ps2's side- is that really that important?

besides whats up with the ps2 controller anyway, its the exact same controller as ps1 and how is it better than xbox, except that its smaller and flimsier, its the same it still has two thumbsticks and the triggers an pads...WTF???
