how much do those cd7000's go for?

i dont have any experience with the cd7000. i just installed an 880, and its a great deck. if im not mistaken, the eclipses dont have removable faces....which was a big factor for me. IM sure you cant go wrong with either.

both hav 5v preouts, although my amps gains had to be bumped up when using the pioneer.

the pioneer almost seems a tad digital sounding.

that was a huge factor for me as well. but the esn does somewhat help. someone steals it, it locks up. they sell it, or send it in to get fixed, eclipse realizes it's a stolen deck, off to jail the theif goes, and you get your deck back. plus it's plain as day so it's nothing flashy. and i'm gettin my 791xv installed to go with my 15% tint. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

Just got my CD7000 in, wow this thing is super smooth sounding.

Flat, clean response and great tuning capabilities.

Well I opted to keep the Eclipse and sell the pioneer, with my luck, I should hang on to both LOL. Here's something very ineresting. it seems Eclipse has changed the face a VERY tiny bit for the better, IMO. the knob on this new unit is much softer feeling than my old one, also the knob seemed a little smaller, then i realized that they rounded off the outside edges, my old one was difinately not like that.
