A800T amp keeps going into protect mode.. (brothers amp.) The ground is on a non sanded place, could this be the sould cause? I havent set the gain properly, need to buy a DMM... But I didnt do the install, everything seems right except the ground. thoughts?

15-20 Minutes.. and its pretty hot to the touch.

Couild the ground be the soul problem?

That's like asking why it doesn't turn on if you don't have the positive connected to the battery...

the ground is as important as the power wire, a circuit needs a ground return to work.

The soul problem? I think the soul problem of the amp is that James Brown didn't come and personally bless the amplifier...

As for the "sole" problem, I think you should set the gains correctly, use the proper wire size and ground it correctly, and see if that takes care of the issues.
